Airport Launches Mobile-Friendly Web site

Atlanta, GA--  Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport customers can now easily access the Airport’s Web site, www.atlanta-airport.com ,from any mobile device with Internet capabilities.

 

When passengers go to Hartsfield-Jackson’s Web site from mobile devices, they will see a streamlined, simplified version of the site.

The Airport officially launched the mobile site after a testing period, during which it solicited feedback from visitors to the Airport’s Facebook page and other stakeholders.

The mobile site includes information about flights, parking, security wait times, concessions and more.

Neighborhood Union Offers Education and Screenings to help Adults and Children to Keep Their Teeth

Atlanta, GA--  Fulton County Health Services and the Neighborhood Union Health Center want to reach the 30% of Georgians* who did not have their teeth cleaned in 2009.  The Neighborhood Union will host a Dental Hygiene Screening Day on Wednesday, October 20, 2010, from 8:30 a.m.

Atlanta, GA--  A team of inspirational women join The Steve and Marjorie Harvey Foundation to host the first-annual Girls Who Rule the World (“GWRTW”) Mentoring Weekend, dedicated to help teenage girls from diverse backgrounds successfully navigate the pressures and pitfalls of teenage life.

On October 22-24, 100 teenage girls will gather with Marjorie Harvey, The View co-host, Sherri Shepherd, and other trusted female business leaders and entertainers - including singer Keri Hilson, actress Terri Vaughn, Essence magazine’s Mikki Taylor, and CBS News Correspondent Shannon Eis - at the Omni CNN Center in Atlanta, GA for three-days of interactive seminars designed to motivate girls, and equip them with resources and education needed to be successful.

School Board Announces October Community Meetings

FULTON COUNTY, GA -- Each member of the Fulton County Board of Education sponsors a monthly meeting that is open to all members of the community.

These sessions provide an opportunity for direct contact with community members and give board members a chance to listen to local issues and concerns.
