Ticket Lottery to the upcoming Antique Roadshow in Atlanta | Arts & Culture
Inman Park -- As you may know by now, the Antique Roadshow is rolling into town next month to let us all know if that old family heirloom that our parents have been holding onto forever is actually worth a large chunk of money or not. As you can imagine the Atlanta stop is highly anticipated and tickets are scarce. So our neighborhood Councilman Kwanza Hall is raffling off of few tickets for the community. Here is a letter submitted to our neighborhood Yahoo group:
Our wonderful councilperson, Kwanza Hall, has donated four tickets to the Antique Roadshow in Atlanta (actually at the Georgia International Convention Center in College Park) to Inman Park.
The neighborhood is holding a drawing ($5.00/entry) for the two pairs of tickets, with the proceeds going to the new playground in Springvale Park.
We will be taking entries at the Porch Party at Oreon Mann's house at 877 Edgewood Avenue this Friday, and all weekend at Regina Brewer's house at 484 Sinclair (Put an index card with your contact information and $5.00 in an envelope in her mailbox for each entry.) There's no limit to the number of entries, and it's for a good neighborhood cause, so bring your money to the Porch Party -- we'll have index cards there for you to fill out.
The drawing will take place on Monday, so watch this space for the announcement of the winners!
