Public Input on Campbellton Rd./Cascade Corridor Needed

Atlanta, GA--  (Submitted by City Hall)  Atlanta City Councilmember Keisha Lance Bottom (District 11) and the City of Atlanta’s Office of Planning will seek public input on the proposed zoning changes along the Campbellton Road corridor. 

The Campbellton?Cascade Corridors Redevelopment Plan calls for the transformation of Campbellton Road from an automobile?oriented corridor with isolated land uses into a pedestrian?friendly, mixed?use neighborhood.

Two public meetings have been scheduled for the general public to have an opportunity to express their views on the proposed zoning changes:

Volunteer Financial Planners to Visit Metro Atlanta Schools

WOODSTOCK, GA -- The Financial Planning Association of Georgia is pleased to announce that members will be volunteering in various schools across the region in honor of National Financial Planning Week, which will take place Oct. 4 through Oct.

County Jobs for Fulton Residents

The Fulton County Board of Commissioners (BOC) approved the county’s first Job Source Policy, at its September 15 meeting.  By enacting this policy, the county will create a pool of employable Fulton county residents who would be eligible to fill jobs created by certain projects funded by the County.

“The Board of Commissioner feels that it is our responsibility to try and help the citizens of Fulton County as much as we can during these hard economic times. This policy will help to provide stable economic opportunities for families throughout the County” stated Fulton County Chairman John H. Eaves.

This policy will apply to all contracts procured through the Department of Purchasing & Contract Compliance valued in excess of $200,000.
