Children's Greif Awareness Day

Project Karma  and Radio Talk’s Michael McFadden will host Children’s Grief Awareness Day to celebrate and  honor the children of Atlanta and in the nation living with loss. The celebration will take place from 4-6pm  on Thursday November 17, 2011 at Ralph Bunche middle School 1925 Nisky Lake Road, Atlanta, GA 30331. Hosted by, activities will include a special dance through grief workshop, community art project, parent’s workshop, and special lantern release.

Special Guest include Mary Pat Hector, 13 year old founder of Youth In Action.  Ms. Hector is encouraging youth through Youth In Action’s Shake Off Violence Campaign which jump started with a 90 Day Cease Fire to Address Youth Violence beginning on November 11, 2011

On Friday, November 18, 2011 Just Gotta Give Organization will host a Flash Mob Style “Random Act of Kindness” where community partners will show up serving lunch and love to deserving citizens.

On this day citizens of Atlanta and beyond are being invited to “pay it forward” by participating in this phenomenal act of kindness.

College Park Senior Citizens Thanksgiving Luncheon at Hugh C. Conley Rec Center Nov. 17th

COLLEGE PARK - The College Park Recreation Department will sponsor the annual Senior Thanksgiving Luncheon Thursday, November 17 at noon (12:00pm) at the Hugh C. Conley Recreation Center – 3636 College Street, College Park.

Seniors are asked to bring a side dish. There is no cost for this event. Entertainment will be provided by Frankie Lovett Righteous Ministries.
