Hunter was immediately taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he later died. No other students were injured.

Fulton County School Police are handling the investigation, but are not releasing information on possible suspects. Evans says there is no information on what led to the shooting.

Grief counselors were on hand at Langston Hughes, McClarin and Campbell high schools Monday. All three schools also had heightened security.
