Wolf Creek Amphitheater presents second show in the Affordable Old School Concert Series

ATLANTA -- The Affordable Old School Concert Series is a four-show concert series designed to expose and entertain a diverse audience with a variety of Old School Hip Hop and R&B music. There are a total of four shows in the concert series that will consist of four music acts and one comedian. The Affordable Old School Concert Series was formed to be affordable with $25 tickets that will be attractive to most consumers in today’s economy. It is the mission of this concert series to provide the public access to a means of expression that promotes social consciousness, positive entertainment and personal fulfillment.

The Wolf Creek Amphitheater presents the dynamic R&B Band Mint Condition in concert at the Wolf Creek Amphitheater on June 1, 2013. Mint Condition delivers it all through “hard-bitten funk, with a hip hop edge and…crooning soul ballads.”   The concert is the second of the four “Affordable Old School Concert Series.

Free Dog and Cat Vaccinations

A community outreach event focused on providing services to pet owners in neighborhoods without affordable and accessible general pet wellness care will take place on Saturday in Atlanta.

Free cat and dog rabies vaccinations and licenses will be offered while supplies last.

The Humane Society of the United States, Fulton County Animal Services, UGA College of Veterinary Medicine’s Animal Welfare Club, Jabula Dog Academy, SnazzyPetUSA.com, Lifeline Animal Project, The Ark Animals Hospital and Save Our Pets Food Bank are hosting the event.

Every month, the board holds the meetings as a way for parents and community members to discuss local issues and concerns.

Atlanta ministry hosts confrence to confront stigmas of homosexuality, sexual abuse and more

COLLEGE PARK, Ga. -- In recognition of National Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month, Healing of the Heart Ministries will facilitate a monumental conference entitled, Beyond Pain to Wholeness: Overcoming the Stigma, offering honest discussion and dialogue for survivors and family members seeking help to handle sexual abuse crisis and conflicts stemming from homosexuality in the family.

Gladys Knight to perform at Wolf Creek Amphitheater

COLLEGE PARK, Ga. -- The Empress of Soul will perform a concert in south Fulton County later this year.

Gladys Knight, former lead singer of Gladys Knight and the Pips, will grace the stage of Wolf Creek Amphitheater on Friday, May 3.

Singer and songwriter Howard Hewett will be Knight's special guest for the concert. Jazz trumpeter "Milkshake" Mayfield is also scheduled to perform.

Tickets for the May 3 show are currently available and can be purchased at ticketalternative.com. They range in price from $45 for a lawn seat to $125 for a VIP table.
