Man dies after chase with state trooper | News

EAST POINT, GA. -- The Georgia State Patrol says a motorcyclist died Friday evening as a result of an accident near Old National Highway on I-285. 

According to authorities, the driver accelerated after a trooper attempted to stop the him for a tag violation near Camp Creek Parkway. 

The trooper says the cyclist began to weave in and out of traffic ultimately losing control on the on ramp of Old National Highway in College Park. 

The motorcyclist died on the scene.
