1 killed, 3 injured in 4 vehicle wreck | News

FULTON COUNTY -- A late Monday evening traffic wreck claimed the life of one person and injured two others, according to Fulton County Police.

The four vehicle crash happened at around 11:40 p.m. at the intersection of Camp Creek Parkway and Butner Road.

Witnesses told investigating officers a loaded tractor trailer ran the red light, struck a Toyota Solara in the side, then jackknifed into the westbound opposing lane of travel, hitting a Nissan Altima head-on. Before coming to rest, the truck rolled over onto a Toyota Camry that was also traveling westbound on Camp Creek Parkway.

Police said the male driver of the Toyota Solara was killed. The female driver of the Nissan Altima was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the tractor trailer has non-life threatening injuries. He is also being treated at Grady Hospital. The driver of the Toyota Camry has minor injuries.

No names have been released.

Police continue their investigation of the incident.
