Police hunt for teens who killed store clerk

COLLEGE PARK, Ga -- The sister of a convenience store clerk wants two teenagers who shot and killed him to face justice. But in order for that to happen, police have to find out who the teens are.

College Park Police released a video of the shooting from surveillance cameras at the BP store on West Fayetteville Road in hopes that someone may recognize the two suspects.

The video shows them walk into the store and order the clerk Alagie Dibba, 28, to the floor and to put his hands up. But before Dibba could comply, one of the suspects shot him in the stomach. "It appears by looking at the video that they were startled when the gun went off, so they immediately turned around and ran off," said Major Linda Burke.

Dibba screamed and prayed out loud until police and an ambulance came to the BP store. He was pronounced dead at the hospital. "My heart is broken and I've been crying, and I want justice to be done," said Sirah Jobe, Dibba's sister.

Jobe was her brother's roommate at an apartment within walking distance of the store. Jobe said Dibba worked at the store for two years supporting his family, a wife and child who live in Africa. "He didn't deserve this," she said. "Alagie work hard, he took care of the family back home, even me, he took care of me."

Sam Ukani has owned the convenience store for seventeen years. He said it's the first time someone tried to rob him. "It does not make any sense," he said. "I could understand if he was struggling that you know he would not give them the money and stuff like that."

Ukani obliged the Dibba's family request to put a donation box in the store to raise money to fly his body back to Gambia, back to his wife and child. "He didn't deserve this and I want justice to be done," his sister said.

Anyone with information on the homicide or the identity of the suspects is asked to contact College Park Police at 404-761-3131.
