COLLEGE PARK, Ga. -- A suspect is in custody after an officer-involved shooting in College Park Friday afternoon.
Police were responding to a domestic call at around 2:30 p.m. and arrived to find a man running from the house who matched the description the complainant described.
Officers then gave chase to the man on foot. Police said the suspect turned toward the officer with a gun.
The officer then fired but missed, police chief Keith Meadows said. Eventually the suspect was apprehended and now faces charges that include aggravated assault on a police officer, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and theft by receiving a stolen firearm.
Police said the gun was stolen out of Clayton County.
