Concert series continues at Wolf Creek Amphitheater

FULTON COUNTY, Ga. -- Wolf Creek Amphitheater continues the popular Affordable Old School Concert Series on Saturday, August 2 with Tank, Ginuwine, Chubb Rock, RL of Next and Case. The concert host will be comedian Ronnie Jordan.

The All White Party begins at 7 p.m., with concert gates opening at 5 p.m. Wolf Creek is located at 3025 Merk Road, SW in Atlanta.

Tickets for the concert are available through Ticket Alternative, and costs are as follows:

• VIP Table seats are $85.00 in advance, $90 on the day of the show. 
• Reserved Seats are $47, $52 on the day of the show
• General Admission lawn seats are $25 in advance, $30 dollars the day of the show

(WXIA) -- The 2015 Georgia Teacher of the Year will be announced Friday during a special luncheon.

Georgia State Superintendent Dr. John Barge will reveal the winner at around 2:45 p.m. at the Georgia International Convention Center in College Park.

ATLANTA -- The 2014 Wolf Creek Jazz Series kicks off on August 23 with Ruben Studdard, Mike Phillips, Ken Ford and Noel Gourdin. The concert series continues to bring some of the hottest acts to the Wolf Creek Amphitheater and this summer, the three-show series is guaranteed to keep guests entertained and moving to the smooth sounds of jazz.

Fulton Commission Chairman honored by Fulton-DeKalb Hospital Authority

FULTON COUNTY, Ga. -- Fulton County Commission Chairman, District 1, John H. Eaves received the Grady Champion Award during the 2nd Annual “Honoring Healthcare Champions Awards.”

Chairman Eaves was one of eight community leaders, medical professionals and non-profit executives honored by the Hospital Authority for their leadership in efforts to support Grady Hospital and build healthier communities.

The awards dinner followed the 2013 Health Summit, which brought governmental leaders and healthcare professionals together to discuss healthcare issues affecting Fulton and Dekalb counties.

The Healthcare Champions were honored for research, advocacy, donations and inspired leadership.  Standing with Chairman Eaves (center) were Pete Correll (left), Chairman of the Grady Memorial Hospital Corporation and Thomas Dortch, Chairman of the Fulton-Dekalb Hospital Authority Board of Trustees.
